We are seeking a motivated individual to join our finance team as a Finance Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in finance while earning a salary and gaining a recognised qualification. You'll work alongside experienced professionals whilst studying towards your AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain broad experience in both financial operations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Apprentice, you will support the team with:
- day-to-day operations including processing invoices and purchase orders
- maintaining accurate financial records using best in class finance systems
- bank reconciliations and credit control activities
- preparation of monthly management accounts, and
- support the year-end audit process.
Required skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
What We're Looking For
We are looking to hire a highly motivated individual with a genuine interest in developing a career in accounting and finance. We value candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm to learn and develop their career in finance.
We welcome applications from candidates with the equivalent of 3 A Levels, grade B and above.
What We Offer
This apprenticeship provides a competitive salary starting from £15,000-£18,000 per annum, with regular reviews and progression opportunities. We'll fund your AAT qualification and provide dedicated study time each week, supported by experienced mentors and comprehensive on-the-job training. You'll enjoy 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays, along with access to our employee benefits package including pension scheme and professional development opportunities.
Training and Development
You'll be enrolled on a Level 2 or 3 AAT apprenticeship programme delivered by our approved training provider. This typically takes 15-18 months to complete and includes one day per week at college or online study, with the remainder of your time spent gaining practical experience in our finance department. Upon successful completion, there may be excellent progression opportunities within our growing finance team.
